The Electric Music Collective is an
organization of composers and computer musicians loosely based in New York City.
The EMC is dedicated to producing recordings and live performance events that
reflect the eclectic aesthetic goals of its members.
Since its formation in 2002, EMC has been involved in a variety of projects,
including festival performances and collaborations with virtuoso performers.
Recent projects have included collaborations with pianists
Shiau-Uen Ding,
Jacob Rhodebeck,
Eric Huebner,
and
Steven Beck,
saxophonist
Matthew Polashek,
violinist
Maja Cerar,
video artist
Liubo Borissov,
the
NeXT Ens, and many others.
Recent festival performances include the American Festival of Microtonal Music
in New York City, the Spark Festival in Minneapolis, and
MidWest MicroFest
in Chicago.
In parallel to our creative work, all EMC members collaborate in a
variety of artistic and teaching engagements at key computer music centers
throughout the Western Hemisphere.
