"On Gilgamesh: A Concerto for Violin and Multimedia"

Gilgamesh is a work that combines elements of concerto, interactive electroacoustic performance, installation, choreography, video, and puppetry to trace the world's oldest known written story. In this talk, Prof. Geers will describe ideas behind the piece and its realization.

" Acousmatics, Sound Objects and Instruments of Music"

Starting with the Schaefferian concepts of Acousmatics and Sound Objects, the concepts of Musical Objects and of musical instruments and pseudo-instruments will be presented, along with algorithmic ways of implementing these ideas with a computer.
